My World Taekwondo journey began in front of the TV. During the 2022 Commonwealth Games, I was watching the Judo with my dad and thought it looked really cool. I asked him right then if he would do a martial art with me.
As luck would have it, there was a World Taekwondo club right down the street from our house. We walked in, and we haven't looked back since.

I’ve done many sports before—basketball, netball, gymnastics—but none of them come close to how much I enjoy Taekwondo. It’s about more than just learning to defend yourself; it’s about perseverance, confidence, and discipline.
Getting my Black Belt was all that mattered to me in the beginning. But as I continued to train alongside my dad, I grew to love the feeling of getting my energy out at the end of the day and building friendships with people my age at the Blackwood Training Centre.
